It looked better when the Vampires lived there

Continuing my "Nike makes too much money" thread, the vampire's house from the movie Twilight is up for sale.

Owned by a Nike executive, the house illustrates not only that people are paying way too much for shoes, but also that Nike executives seem to sadly lack any appreciation of the historical importance of Topiary in Landscape schemes.

Moo!

Isn't that the house where Clint Eastwood got attacked by the crazy woman in Play Misty for Me?

God... It's so cold and formal. It looked great in the movie, warm, inviting, almost like a tree house. whoever decorated it knows nothing, obviously, about topiary. ;)

I wouldn't even know how to warm it up again.

They are asking WAY too much for that house.

I do like the library and master bedroom and the many windows everywhere upstairs. The kitchen cabinets we offer at your local Lowe's. I like open floor plans, but it is too open downstairs. It reminds me somewhat of Wright's Falling Waters, not quite as good of course. home.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSRXHl9RbbU. worth a look

Gorilla: if anybody knows anything about crazy women attacking handsome men, it would be you!

Karen: Yes...the decorating is really ugly. The house itself is beautiful but apparently the film crew brought in a bunch more trees to shield the yard from the neighbors.

Topiary knows nothing about housing prices in Vancouver but assumes that starring in a hit movie only increased the asking price.

RJ: Ha! Lowe's cabinets, eh? That is hilarious!

Agree it was probably inspired or modeled on Wright, but it's probably hard to build a house now that could rival the resources Wright had in those days.

Plus Wright would have provided all the custom-made furniture, which this house obviously did not get.

Moo!
