Michael Jackson's This Is It Movie

Now, Cow was not a huge fan of Michael Jackson. But this film was fantastic!

The show itself would have been spectacular to see live. Contrary to expectations, MJ as they call him, danced and sang like the amazing superstar he was--there was no sign of weakness, just amazing dancing and even better singing, and someone who was a thoughtful and considerate collaborator with his dancers, singers and producers.

In a way, this is what movies should be like, fantastic tunes, great dancing, some humor as well as interesting insights into the process. Had they made a 3-hour movie instead of a 2-hour movie there would have been time for more dialog, but what they tried to do, a pretty straight-forward concert film, they did exceedingly well.

In fact, after not really being a fan, this film makes Cow want to run out and buy some orange pants and a glitter jacket, start taking dancing lessons and sing the night away! Just so sad that his story ended the way it did.

Highly recommended for a good night out, no profanity, no bad acting, no really labored plot lines like so many movies you see--just a great movie, great visual experience, and great tunes.

I'm glad to hear he was at the top of his game before the end. All the gossip about him seemed to distract attention from his talent.

thank you -- i've been trying to find a movie i want to see. i think i'm going to play hookie this week and go to the movies, instead of work.

i've been stressed out lately, and i think i could really let the movie take me away -- just like the album "thriller" took me away from my miserable, miserable sophomore year of college. i remember playing "human nature" over and over until i scratched up that part of the album.

somehow I thought Cow might go out and see this movie. if it wasn't for baby who turns a $20 movie night into an $80 movie night when you add the sitter we'd probably get out to the theater more often, glad for your review! will add it to the NetFlix list..(for $14 a month, not a bad deal..)

Gorilla: yes. The only way the moovie could have been better would have been with a happy ending to the man's life.

Weight: I think this movie would be just the ticket to boost your spirits and get you dancing away!

Watercolor: Cow humbly thinks you will enjoy it.

Kate: It was a fantastic show but yeah, getting a sitter does up the cost.

The great thing is probably they will put even more extras on the DVD so that gives you something to look forward to on Netflix.

(Cow is also a Netflixer)

Moo!
