Weekend Reading
"Bad Cop" by Paul Bacon details his 3 years on the NYPD.
You've read it all before: scummy perps, quota-driven supervisors, unrequited love, scamming out of duties. But the book is written with so much humor it's impossible to put down.
Few people would have the honesty to tell so many stories which reflect so badly on themselves. Good for a laugh and to understand why crime rates are so high.
Moo!

sounds interesting! I might have to request it from the library and give it a read.
I thought crime rates in NYC had come right down because of clever new policing methods. There must still be room for improvement, which is good news!
Donuts on the cover and by a guy named Bacon. It's already a winner.
Dog: you are so right!
Gorilla: If there were any clever new policing methods they were NOT in this book!
Super: It was fun. Recommended.
Moo!
I have a friend who is a policeman. Every so often he emails me what has been going on in the land of crime. It is quite unbelievable and I do think that some people are very, very stupid.
