What Would Jackie Do?
After reading the sprightly and amusing What Would Jackie Do?" Cow is inspired.
Must get one of those WWJD bracelets, asap...
Strange fact: among the books Jackie Kennedy edited while at Doubleday is "The Cartoon History of the Universe." Jackie said it was a better summation than many she'd read.
Isn't that cool? She was smart as well as beautiful.
Moo!

I never knew she was an editor. That's just cool. I may need to find that one.
Yes, she worked for Viking then Doubleday, and searched out authors and interesting ideas, and made them into books. Really cool.
Moo!
I would love to work in the publishing industry, reading manuscripts and discovering new talent. I'd never survive the politics and general atmosphere, but it'd be fun.
Not to mention the dirt-poor salaries. Jackie started at $10,000 per year.
Methinks you must be rich to take those jobs.
Moo!
She was a very industrious woman in her later years. Ladylike, hard working, interesting, and private. And very stylish. Something to aspire to.
