Leave Packages Outside

Police raid mayor's home and kill his dogs

So, here's the deal. To ship marijuana by Federal Express dealers pick some names and addresses randomly, ship the packages there, and then come and pick up the package before the homeowner gets home.

But, the pick-up guy was late, and when the mayor got home he brought it from the front porch and put it on the table, unopened.

Enter sheriffs, who, without a warrant or even a knock, break in the door, tie up the grandmother, shoot the pets, leave the grandmother tied up on the floor next to the bodies of the dogs for four hours...

People are afraid of Big Government and unlimited police powers for good reason.

Topiary is sending the nicest condolence card she can find to the office address of Mayor Cheye Calvo, 5700 Berwyn Road, Berwyn Heights, MD 20740.

Moo!

Well, I know I'm scared of Big Government. This is why we need to return power to the states. Too much Federal Regulation. Too many Federal Organizations with near-limitless power.

SCA-ARY!

It wasn't the DEA it was the local sheriff. There have been problems with him before.

Talk about heavy handed. I am sure a knock on the door, along with a brief explanation of their visit would have sufficed.

Kevin: Yes. Cow feels so much safer...uh. wait a minute....

Sandi: Yes Cow admits this story touched her. She sent a very nice card to the mayor at his office just to express her sadness. Maybe if they get support from across the country it will help them feel better in a small way.

Ennisdrake: The whole idea of being able to break in somebody's door so they won't have time to dispose of the evidence is ridiculous. Especially when it turns out they are at the wrong address.

Speaking of being wrong, it was the sheriff, not the DEA according to a.boyd c. (below). Cow regrets the error, but at least she didn't break in anybody door and kill their pets because of it.

a.boyd.c: Thank you for the correction. Cow regrets the error and has corrected the post.

Supermom: yes, that sort of thing would never happen in Mississippi...uh oh. What is it Mayor Melton is on trial for? Bashing in the side of a crack house?

Well at least they didn't shoot any dogs (Cow now glad it was only a house)

Watercolor: Wonder if architects will start designing doors to be law-enforcement resistant, along with bullet-proof pens for the pets?

Perhaps a whole new lucrative line!

Linda: Cow is sure that Australian law enforcement behave better. At least she hopes so.

Moo!
