Learning

Cow has been reading Hurricanes and the Mid-Atlantic States, a history of hurricanes from the 1600's till the present.

Among the early descriptions of hurricane damage are of small buildings levelled by the winds.

Cow just doesn't understand why the 21st-century equivalent, "manufactured housing" or mobile homes as they are also known, are still allowed.

Seems nothing has been learned in 400 years.

Moo!

I thought the theory was that lighter structures caused less collateral damage when they were destroyed.

Cow might want to note that humans haven't cottoned on to the sheer amount of pollution bovine waste gas causes. Now that's global warming.

Being mobile, maybe they plan to flee from the hurricane. I wonder what it's like to be chased by a big wind.

Kevin: Evil. Evil. Hah.

Ultra: Cow luuuves cotton. And being warm. Therefore, Cow is happy. Doesn't know about these humans though.

Gorilla: GB as always is correct-o-mundo. They ARE supposed to be mobile. Obviously the owners aren't too good drivers.

Doghouse: Cow would like to see a house fly but can only call to mind the Wizard of Oz footage.

During a hurricane Cow would be too frightened to take her eyes from behind her hands to look at such a spectacle though.

Moo!

I used to date an investment banker who dealt in mortgages and had a clever little name in the industry for mobile homes because of the tendency to burst in high wind.

Unfortunately, the coke-head, cheating bastard turned out to be a cheating bastard after three years and Daisy did a mind dump on anything to do with him and cannot recall the phrase....

[Divine retribution/karma got him -- shortly afterward he lost his job and totaled his porsche...]
