US still making friends
"I believe cohesion in society is not served by inexplicable inequalities." The Dutch move to limit executive pay although executive salaries and cash bonuses in the Netherlands are about 25 percent of U.S. levels and half of those in Britain.
U.S. should go on diet of its own, India says
The food problem has "clearly" been created by Americans, who are eating 50 percent more calories than the average person in India, said Pradeep Mehta...
If Americans were to slim down to even the middle-class weight in India, "many hungry people in sub-Saharan Africa would find food on their plates," Mehta said. The money Americans spend on liposuction to get rid of their excess fat could be funneled to famine victims instead, he added.

Oh, I have to second that! After half ton mum, tomorrow night they are showing half ton dad. I feel so sorry for them and yet cannot help wondering who is feeding them so much that they not only maintain that weight but continue to increase. It is just obscene that there can be such a discrepancy in food consumption between the richest and poorest countries.
Half ton mum? These are shows?
(Cow quickly hiding her cupcakes)
Moo!
heh. except it wouldn't happen like that... nice try by him though. i doubt the liposuction crowd are going to send their plastic surgery money to starving people instead.
She's not hiding her cupcakes. Why should you?

Watercolor,
Sadly, Bunny thinks you are right.
Buddy, can you spare a carrot?
Hippity-hop!
Sandi, you are naughty. :)
And, Sandi is welcome to promote fitness in her blog posts---should Mississippians begin walking Bunny wouldn't feel so lonely as she hops the empty pastures.
Hippity-hop!
There seem to be some Bunnies running around on this blog.
They'll take over if you turn your back for a minute.
Moo!
Thanks Bunny. Keep hoppin' ... it's good for your heart. :)
I thought it was beans that are good for your heart?
Hope not (Cow not liking beans much)
Now bean sprouts, that's different!
Moo!
The problem is that people are just eating too many cows.
But hey, as long as they're not eating parrots I can't really complain.
Or perhaps the fat sucked out from the liposuction could be made into a food? The problem is that even if Americans ate less, there'd still be people too poor to afford enough food.
Cow also very glad Parrots not on menu.
GB: eugh on the lipo. And sadly true on the poor people.
Moo!
